Receipt Printer:

Connect the printer to your router using an ethernet cable.

When you turn on your Toast hardware for the first time when installing, you'll be guided through the printer install and setup. At any point, you can access the printer setup page to add or replace a printer, check your printer status, or troubleshoot your printer.

Select the back arrow in the top left corner of the screen to get to the main menu of the Toast app on your device then navigate to Setup > Printer Setup.

  1. On the Printer Setup page, select + Add or replace printer.
  2. Choose new printer . Select Continue.
  3. Select Wired and then select Next. Complete the printer setup steps that are displayed on your screen.
  4. Then, select Find my printer. Toast will begin searching your network for printers. This might take up to 20 seconds.
  5. From here, you will see any new printers that need to be added. Follow the prompts to select how a printer will be used, if it requires a prep station (kitchen printer), or cash drawer (receipt printer), and font size.
  6. Once your test ticket has been printed you will receive a notification that your printer has been successfully installed! This printer will now appear in My printers on the Printer Setup page.
